Day 2 was filled with great league play that saw Louisville go 3-0 with Coach Conley in the NCAA and Coach Beaman’s Thunder stay undefeated in the NBA as well. Coach Courtney Brooks led two great Station 13 sets and the kids completed set #2 and set #3 of their stations. In addition to the regular games each league competed for a Championship in the Five Star No-Dribble Tournament. In the NBA Coach Pierre’s Hawks took home the tittle after two very close games. Should be a great Day 3 full of playoffs, stations, station 14, and an All-Star game tomorrow.

The campers at Reinhardt University in Georgia got their first full day of work, and work it was. With morning stations, 3 game sets, station 13, station 14, shot mania, and a full set of night stations, these campers got all they could handle. As the smoke cleared for the day the Celtics in the NBA were the only undefeated team left at 3-0. Fighting for the #2 seed are the Spurs lead by 2014 PG Jack Shaughnessy of Etowah High School in Georgia. In the NCAA the Wildcats of Kentucky are also undefeated lead by a solid backcourt of Middle School age players.

Five Star Basketball at Reinhardt University outside of Atlanta, Georgia opened Thursday night with an eager group of campers and a lot of teaching. After a brief presentation by Coach Bloom and a review of the NCAA Rules to come, the capers went right into the famous Five Star Fast Break Drill.  Offense was hard to come by in this drill as the defense was all over the place.  After fast break each camper went through one hour of evaluation games so the coaches could take notes for the draft.  The night as all Five Star camps do, with a great set of night stations. Campers spent time doing ball handling, finishing moves, shooting form, and post moves.
On Friday morning 20 campers showed up for a voluntary Early Bird Workout with Coach Bloom and Coach Desir at 7am.  After breakfast another great set of stations featuring triple threat, rebounding, help and recover/pressure man, and moving without the ball the first set of NBA and NCAA games took place. Prior to each game the teams spent some time practicing half court sets, baseline out of bounds, and team defense.
