Day 2 at Five Star camp has been an exciting one thus far. With the first two games officially under way, it’s clear that these group of campers will not fail to excite. Standouts such as Dairoby Tavares (Long Island City HS, NY), Gregory Gourgue (Newark, NJ), and Keith Braxton (Delsea) are off to a great start showing off their individual skills. Tavares has proven that he is quite the giving type. In his first game, Dairoby went on to accumulate 8 assists helping to make his game very fun to watch. Braxton has great court awareness as well as the ability to knock down open jump shots. His ability to do so was the key component to making those watching aware of his abilities. Gourgue ended his first game using his height to his advantage by blocking 7 shots as well as doing a great job rebounding and picking up easy baskets around the rim. Gourgue’s teammate, Anastasios Fillippou (Athens, Greece) , also showed that he can hang with the big boys by playing through a small injury and returning to be a major factor in his teams run to stay in the game exhibiting his very good court vision to find the best scoring opportunity.
