Day 1 began in the rain. But the weather would not stop the enthusiasm of the campers with some coming from as far away as Louisiana. Immediately after their first meal, campers started their skill development in stations. It did not take long for those with some serious game to step up and distinguish themselves from the crowd. Some of the campers that stood out right away were Pablo Hernandez, a forward from Madrid, Spain, his fellow countrymen Marcos Alvaro and Anton Bouzon, two dynamic guards who are intense on both ends of the court. A rising sophomore forward from Hershey High School in Pennsylvania also widened some eyes with his size and agility. Rounding out this list of early must-watch players are Peyton Griffiths. And let’s not forget about the lone female camper all the way from Spain, Elisa Hernani who is definitely holding her own. All said, there will be 6 teams in camp and some heated competition between many of these new faces looking to make a name for themselves.
