The day began with an intense set of stations where each camper was able to show the coaches that they had what it takes to play at the next level. The day then moved to games. The featured game was between the Spurs and the Heat. The Spurs jumped out to an early lead behind the strong play of Mohammed Validipak and Tavon Luster. It would continue with the duo of Brandon Guest and Collin Moore. The Spurs got their first lead 3 minutes into the game and never looked back. They would go on to dominate the game and win big. Playing well in defeat was rising eighth grader, Anthony Ofechu out of Exton, PA. Despite his 16 point, 12 rebound effort, his team could not overcome the powerful Spurs.
The Spurs would finish the day undefeated (2-0) and atop the standings. Tied for first would be the Lakers (2-0). They coasted in their two victories behind the leadership of Tarik Boyd and Ali Validipak.
The evening concluded with the No-Dribble Tournament. The games were all close, with no winning team coming out on top by more than 5 points. Two games went down to the wire with two 0-2 teams, the Knicks and the Heat, advancing to the finals. The Heat, coached by Bruce Reavis would break a tie with 7 seconds remaining in regulation time when his team would drive the length of the floor and win the game off of a buzzer beater from the baseline by Armand Sorrentino.
