From the beginning, the second session at East Stroudsburg University was going to be about as intense and grueling a session as any all summer long because the coach to camper ratio was 4-1. With a small group of campers, each one was sure to receive individualized attention for all activities throughout the camp. Anchored by a tried and tested coaching staff, all veterans of Five-Star Basketball Camp, the campers were going to get plenty of repetitions and multiple opportunities for 1-on-1 instruction.
After an intense first night of tryouts, some expected names made it to the top of the draft boards. There were few surprises as the expected top pick, Brandon Guest (MOP of ESU I) was selected first overall by Coach Nick Robinson. Rounding out the top four were Michael Pastore, a quick 5-8 guard with smooth handle from Williamsport, PA, Tarik Boyd, a dangerous 6-0 combo guard from Middletown, NY, and Armand Sorrentino, a 6-4 big man can shoot it from outside out of Philadelphia, PA. The steal of the draft also went to Coach Nick Robinson who sure had a good read on the prospects and selected Collin Moore, a projected 1-2 rounder in the 4th round.
